Government

Presbyterian Churches use a representative form of government that must include a representative cross-section of all church members.

At Christ Presbyterian, our Session is composed of our minister as moderator and "elders" who are responsible for the congregation's mission and our congregation's worship, Christian Education, and pastoral care.

Our "deacons" are also elected by the congregation to enable our ministries of nurture, fellowship, and to assist in other functions of our congregation as delegated by the Session.

See the links below to learn more of the duties of elders and deacons.

The links to the left will take you to presbytery, synod, and general assembly sites to learn more about those organizations.
