CPC has a long history of helping others. As we worked on the 2010 budget, it became apparent that we needed a new strategy to enable our continued benevolence activities, as well as to improve CPC's finances. We were also hearing from members that there was a lot of untapped time and talent that could be put to use. It was the combination of these two things that resulted in the Time and Talent program.
There are three prongs to the T&T initiative. Click on one of these to learn more! Food, Finances, and Fun. If you have an interest in doing something, please reach out to the team leaders identified here or to any member of Session. You will be hearing a lot about this program over the year and we will be asking for you to do things. Please do your best to participate in the ways that are best for you.
As scripture says: “Everything is possible for him who believes”. It was truly amazing how things started to come together after that. It is truly amazing how God enables marvelous things to happen. We are seeing it in CPC's Time & Talent program. The support for the program by staff, Trustees, I&S, IT and Session has been fantastic. There is a feeling of enthusiasm that is spreading and you are encouraged to become part of the T&T because nothing beats the feeling you get as you put your head on the pillow at night to go to sleep and you can think that because of something you did, the world is a little better off. That’s a big part of what the Time and Talent program is all about. Click HERE to read the T&T Guiding Principles.
The progress to date has been pretty impressive. Click HERE to see what we have accomplished and where there might be areas in which you might help.
Please prayerfully consider how you can participate in the Time & Talent program.
Monthly Reminder! Each month, we will provide this gentle reminder of ongoing programs that benefit the Time and Talent Benevolence Fund. We appreciate your participation and are grateful for the opportunity to help serve people in need as a result!
