Calendar of Events…You’re Invited!!
We, of
Christ Presbyterian Church, welcome you! We think of you
as extended family and want you to know that you are
welcome to join us for Sunday worship, Sunday school and
these other fun and fellowship events of the church!
Most of
the events are free and at the church unless indicated
otherwise. We hope to see you there!
Monday thru Thursday, July 12-15: Adult
Learning Opportunities during VBS:
July 12th: The
Parable of the Sower:
We will explore through adult
eyes, the same parable the children are
studying in VBS, for fresh new insights.
July 13th:
Everyday Sacred, Everyday
Spirituality: Join us to explore and
discuss how we can make sacred
connection to all of life everyday.
July 14th:
Changes that Heal: “Do you want to
be healed?” was the question Jesus
asked of the man by the pool at
Bethsaida. God desires for us to be
healed and whole. We will explore belief
systems and emotions that keep us from
experiencing the joy of the Lord.
July 15th:
Meditating as a Christian: We are
repeatedly told to ‘meditate on these
things’ in Scripture. Please join us as
we experience how to do that!
What: Nite Fest 2010 !

Sunday, July 18 and August 15 from
6:00- 8:00 p.m.

Tess and Sarah Folk’s Home in Allendale
Summer 2010
has brought us another season of Sunday
evening outdoor worship known as Nite
Fest! Singles, families, young and young
at heart enjoy pizza and s’mores, then
share in a lively worship experience.
Please RSVP when possible so we know how
much pizza to order! A sign up sheet is
posted on the bulletin board across from
the office. You may also call the office
to sign up! (737-0051) In case of rain,
we move to Fellowship Hall at the
church.

Community Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, October 24th, Veeda Javaid, executive director
of the Presbyterian Education Board in Pakistan,
will be coming to CPC to speak. This
board oversees more than a dozen Presbyterian schools in
Pakistan, a largely Muslim country. This promises to be
a very interesting and informative presentation! There
is an article about Veeda Javaid on the bulletin board
outside the office (from Presbyterians Today magazine,
May 2010). More details to come closer to the date!!

More!
9:00 to 4:00 Fellowship Hall and Room 4.
Sunday, December 12th;
Christmas Lunch (noon) and Program (1:00), “Christmas
Tea,” presented by Judy Smitley, the Biblegal. This
story is for men, women and older children. Childcare
provided.
Summer Worship Schedule:
For the months of June, July, and August there will be one worship service
at 9:30 a.m. with church school during worship and a
reception following the worship service each Sunday.
Regular Sunday worship
hours (from September through May) are 8:30-9:15 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.- noon, with Christian
Education for all ages: 9:45-10-45 a.m.
