YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Christ Presbyterian Church offers a variety of activities for youth in grades six through twelve during the school year and summer months.

Activities for middle school and high school students take place on Sunday afternoon and evenings. These activities range from bowling to movie night to planning a service project.

Middle school students are encouraged to join Wednesday Night Live (WNL). We meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year. A family-style meal is shared at 5:30 followed with a group activity or project with all the WNL participants. Small group time is spent discussing issues that are faced in these early adolescent years within a Christian setting. We conclude the evening with a group recreational time in Fellowship Hall, ending at 7:30.

Our group is always looking for new youth to join us!

Adult volunteers would be very welcome as well.

For more information about volunteer opportunities or to receive youth group mailings, please contact Joann Davis, Youth Program Director, through the church office

Cliff Rappelling

Written by: Sean Devey, Kerri Kearney, Drew Martin, Lindsey Wedemeyer, and Becka Zimmerman

The Hike

Together walking along
Thoughtful and strong
Only a few brief stops
Half-an-hour to the top

 The Edge

Standing on the edge
Of a steep rock ledge
Minds full of fear
And belay ropes near

The Descent

As we lower ourselves into midair
We pray to the Lord our lives he would spare
We hop down the cliff, the adrenaline flows
When we’re close to the bottom our spirits rose

The Ground

Finally reached the ground
At last we were down
Amazed at what we had done
Our battle with the cliff was finally won
