Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 PM (Oct-March)
Sunday Morning Education for Children & Youth is available each Sunday during the school year for children birth through High School. All classes spend time with the Scripture being shared in worship to provide families a common conversation at home and to enhance the learning of the story. Additional information for each age group is listed below.
Contact Eli McCulloch Cappel for additional information.
NURSERY CLASS: Children age 3 and younger hear a story, complete an activity, and have a snack in the Nursery Suite. The Nursery lesson is followed immediately by nursery choir.
At CPC children* and adults have the opportunity to LEAD AND LEARN together! S’MorE is a multi-age learning experience that follows and supports the worship texts each week.
TWEEN CLASS: For children grades 4-7, the tween class explores through video, conversation, and activity the weekly worship text.
Y.A.K. (Youth Acquiring Knowledge) Youth grades 6 through 12 meet weekly for Bible Study and conversation during the education hour. Here’s a schedule and listing of study texts:
Children’s Vocal and Chime Choirs are collaborative efforts between the Music & Education departments at Christ Presbyterian.
– Toddler Time is for nursery aged children, birth through age 3
– Children’s Choir is designed for children age 4 through 6th grade
– Chime Time is for beginning ringers grades 3 and older
The CPC Children’s Choirs rehearse each week as part of the education hour in Room 6. For additional information on the choir, contact the director.
As a part of worship each week, children age four through Kindergarten, are invited to engage in Worship, Bible, and Character education immediately following the Conversation with Young Christians. Children will learn songs of the community, practice the spoken words, hear and experience the stories of the community, and respond to the love of God in their lives and community.
Offered as part of our Wednesday Night Live program, mid-week education for Children & Youth is character based and runs October to March.
