Lend A Hand and CPC: CPC is one of the most, if not the most, active congregations in the Presbytery in regards to Lend A Hand. Over the years, we have contributed both financially and with volunteers to their efforts. LAH has two more trips scheduled for 2017. Both of these trips will be headed to WV as we help them recovery from flooding that took place last June. The dates for these trips are August 20-25 and October 15-20. Jim and Deb Davis will be the team leaders on the October trip. The Mission Committee is once again offering to pay the application fee ($150) for any member of the church who volunteers for these trips. Additional information can be found by visiting the website (lendahand.net) or, of course, speaking with Deb or Jim.

What’s Your Name? When exchanging the peace greeting on Sunday morning have you ever thought, “I know you, but what’s your name?!” The Outreach Commission wants to address this dilemma by trialing nametags during the combined summer services. Many churches do this and it will help us to greet and welcome visitors. Look for them at the front door and in the lounge.
CPC Book Table – Thank you to everyone who continues to support the book sale. All proceeds from the sale of the books go directly to benevolence! Enjoy a donut, a cup of coffee and browse the books before church school. Your donations of both hardback and paperback books are also welcome.
CPC Benevolence: We have some ongoing programs that benefit our community benevolence program. In addition to the book table, we continue to collect empty ink cartridges, which can be placed in the green boxes outside of the office and on the coat rack by Fellowship Hall. We also collect eye glasses, cell phones, can tabs, and personal items for Downtown Daily Bread which can be placed in the collection bins outside of the office, and food items for the Ecumenical Food Pantry which can be placed in the barrel outside of the office. There is also a Community Aid Collection Bin on the far side of the Fellowship Hall Parking Lot. The monies received from Community Aid for your clothing and shoe donations are also used to help folks in our community. Thank you for your support!
Pastoral Care List: Please remember our church members who are unable to worship regularly with us, with a prayer, card or call. The list is posted on the bulletin board and includes their address, phone number and birthday.
