Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer ShawlCalling All Knitters/Crocheters: Come join the Prayer Shawl Ministry the first and third Monday of every month at 1:00 in the library. The patterns are easy and there are those who knit and will be glad to teach you. People knit prayer shawls for many different reasons. We knit to console those who are grieving, comfort those who are ill, and give hope to those who despair. We also knit for new mothers and children, to celebrate anniversaries, personal accomplishments, and joyful moments. If one could wear the heartfelt sentiments in a greeting card, it would be a prayer shawl. The group’s upcoming meetings are pending until further notice.   These beautiful shawls are donated to area nursing homes. Crocheted and knitted hats and scarves are given to patients at Hershey Medical Center. Please contact the church office if you know someone who needs the warmth and love of a prayer shawl. If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, you are welcome to join us and be taught by our experienced ladies!
