Appalachian Audubon Society is a local chapter of the National Audubon Society serving Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland, Perry, and York Counties. Our purpose is to conduct education, science, and charitable activities to conserve and restore natural ecosytems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.
We meet the third Thursday of every month from September thru April at Christ Presbyterian Church for our general membership meeting which includes an educational program, social time, and chapter updates. We welcome all who are interested in birds and nature to attend a monthly membership meeting or join one of our many field trips, or participate in one of our fundraisers.

Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development is a contemplative community that invites people to experience God in their daily lives. We do this by providing training in spiritual direction, educating in contemplation and prayer practices, offering day-long retreat opportunities, year-long programs, retreats for groups and communities, and pilgrimages. Our offerings are steeped in the experience of community for persons seeking refreshment, deepening and growth for their lives of service to, and presence in the world. What draws you? What tugs at your heart and spirit? What would it mean to deepen your trust right there? Know from Oasis, if you come, we will meet you where you are and surround you with a loving, safe, and contemplative learning community. More than anything else, that is what Oasis offers.

West Shore Meals on Wheels provides home-delivered meals to persons unable to prepare or purchase a hot meal for themselves due to age, infirmity, or who are convalescing from illness or injury. Our delivery teams cover the areas of New Cumberland, Wormleysburg, Lemoyne, Camp Hill, and portions of Lower Allen Township. Christ Presbyterian Church provides us with office space as well as a staging area for meal delivery teams. We offer meals to individuals for a reduced rate, if they cannot afford to pay. We do not receive state or federal funding, so funds are limited and based on donations received. Your tax deductible contributions help us to help others. WSMOW is a fully volunteer-driven, local based organization of neighbors serving neighbors. We welcome new volunteers. We have regular delivery teams as well as substitutes and have office and phone positions as well.
